    72 johnson runs better with no cowl

    I have a 1972 johnson 20 hp. It runs about 17 mph with the cowl on at wot. And 23 with the cowl off at wot. i know that it is obviously sucking in its own exhaust fumes. Just wanted to know how to fix it. The seal that seats the cowl to the motor is good.

    1972 johnson stop switch

    I have a 1972 johnson seahorse 20 hp. The stop switch was missing when i got the motor. I was wondering what i could use to wire up a stop switch. Any ideas? Thanks.
