I have a 2003 Sea Ray 176 with a Mercury 3.0l and Alpha 1 outdrive. I took the boat out for the first time yesterday for about 5 hours.
I have noticed that I have a small oil leak coming out of the top of the valve cover where there is what looks to be a PVC valve. The oil is seaping around...

I just picked up a 2003 Sea Ray 176. It has the Merc 3.0l with an Alpha 1 drive.
I noticed after using the boat for 6 hours yesterday that the gear oil for the drive was down a bit. I can't imagine that is normal.
Just looking for thoughts on this.
