    Help with a seat post???

    Why did the post raise up and how do I fix it? It just went up last time out. It will go down when you sit on it, but then back up (like it's under pressure) when you get up. New to boating and this boat.

    Value of "Vintage" outboard?

    Pretty sure it's a 1962 Sea King made by Gale for Monkey Wards. And it runs! Was the kicker on a boat I bought and don't need it. Also would nclude 2 - 3 gallon tanks, hose, and kicker motor bracket.

    My best guess is this is a 1962 Sea King made by Gale and sold through Monkey Wards. I have found a service manual, but no owner's manual. The starting instructions are in the shroud, but do not explain what the "high speed" or "slow speed" do. Never seen such a thing before. HELP!!

    Let me answer my own question . . . (thanks you Google!). Made by Gale, a subsidary of OMC in early 60's. Probably 61 - 63. Made for Monkey Wards! 5 horse.

    Thanks all. Built in 12 gal. tank so it'l be easy to empty and start with new. Is there an additive like Sea Foam that I should use?

    Recently bought a 200 Lowe FM165s with a 50hp Johnson 2 cycle. My Bro-in-law suggested getting rid of all the fuel and start with fresh. Don't know how old the fuel is. He also thought I should only put ethanol-free gas in it. What do y'all think?

    Just got a 2000 FM165S with a 50 hp Johnson. The seller swears the outboard is 4 cycle. But the manual says it's a 2 cycle. So . . . WTF? The serial number (J50PLSS) tells me make, hp, shaft length, etc, but not what I need. There's a model number (G 04770364) that I can't interpret. And...
