1986-electric start/tiller 40 hsp..<br />just bought this rig mainly because of the boat-16'tuffy totally rigged awesome fishin boat(to me anyway)---anyway owner said motors POWERHEAD WAS BLOWN...leaking water at head gasket and it had already been rebuilt once so it couldnt be rebuilt...
motor was fine last year.currenting recharging battery to get hot according to other posts...cant get spark.an outboard mech. who "didnt know much about johnsons said he tried disconnecting red main and jumping starter to get spark but still failed.anyone out there can tell me what to check and...
