I have a 1972 6-hp Evinrude Fisherman and I want to replace the prop from a 2 blade to a 3 blade. I think the stock prop is a 2 blade 8x7-1/4. I found on iboats a quicksilver diamond prop #QA3178R 8x7 3 blade. Am I correct if I get this prop? Will there be any performance or mechanical issues...
I just picked up this motor...Super strong runner and shifts great. I do not have the owners manual for it although I will be ordering the service manual and owners maniual on-line here very shortly. My question is what is the proper fuel mixture. I was told 50:1 and I just want to verify...

Does an outboard motor need to be mounted dead nuts on the center of the transom or can it be off center a bit to accomodate a trolling motor mounted beside it?
A good buddy of mine has a MW sea king 7.5 that he is willing to sell to me fairly cheap. I don't know the year but he said it is late 70's. It runs good but needs an impeller. Getting the impeller is not a problem for me but my question is...I notice on a lot of pictures of this type of motor...

Hi all - I cut a new motor plate from 3/4" ACX ply for the feathercraft and I am not too sure what to treat the wood with. I have some semi-gloss urathane to use up so is that sufficient protection for the wood it when it is in the water for hours at a time?
