    fitting a fuel gauge

    hi,my 14ft speed boat was never built with a fuel gauge,although there is a space to fit 1 on the dash.at the rear of the boat there are 2x 25 ltr plastic fuel tanks.is there much involvement in fixing 1 of these ? will i have to connect it to the battery ?...thanks
