i went to go fishing yesterday and ran into the following problem... the motor fired up on the first try and idled perfectly. after a few minutes of going 5mph it just quit as if it was starving for fuel. i primed the bulb again and it started right up again and idled perfect...a few more...
so i have my "new" 1984 V4 90hp evinrude all rigged up on my nauset. i checked all connections (positives and grounds) and the battery is fully charged. i even ran jumper cables directly to the motor in the event the battery cables were not up to par. The motor will just not turn over quickly...
1966 mercury 650 65hp. motor runs great BUT...fluid is milky white and is leaking slowly from around the prop. reading other threads i see it might just be fishing line around there. i'm changing the water pump and seals in that location in a few days. how hard will it be to change the seal...
