    1980 Mercury 225 Head Torque Spec

    Hi all, Looking for actual torque specs for a 225. I torqued to 35lb, in 3 stages, clockwise from the middle. Unfortunatly they have a slight leak around the edges in some spots. Im assuming the outer seal is not contacting well so should i use some OMC sealant on the exterior gasket surface...

    Top Cap Sealer

    Anyone have a recomended product to reseal the top cap on my bass boat? took the rub rail off and the silicone has completely migrated away from the gap. it's an 87 so i figure there is a better choice out there. Thanks!

    1987 Merc V200 and 1990 Merc V175

    Trying to figure out if I can swap the 175 powerhead for my 200, its junk. and get the 175 to be a 200? What are the differences Carbs? I know the reed block is different but does that matter? Otherwise it looks like the same 2.4l I think the pistons are the same too.
