Got the over heat alarm running at full speed. I let it idle until it cooled off, it seemed to be running ok at lower rpms but started running rough around 2500. I turned it off and let it sit for a while. after about 45 minutes started it back up and it was running ok took it up to about 4000...
I know the boat had set for a little over a year before I got it, the reg sticker is only 2 years old so I believe it was running fine within the last 2 years.
The engine is a Johnson 115 fast strike 2 stroke it's a '96.

Ok, I'm a boat newb.
Anyway I have an Evinrude 6 for my inflatable. The engine has a knob at the end of the tiller handle, and I can't figure out what it does? Any one know what it does? Also looking for an online operators manual.
