I installed a new port side head gasket on a 1997 johnson 115 today and the engine starts up, but now I notice alot of water coming out from below the powerhead at the top of the drive. Seems like it is propably coming from where the water tube meets the powerhead.
The temperature alarm also...
My trim will work fine going down but it doesnt work at all going up.
You can not even hear the trim motor when pressing the switch to up.
Are there 2 different motors, one for up and one for down?
Any idea what the problem is or where I should look?

Im not having any problems with the boat, but am wondering if I should incorporate the thermostat into my yearly maintenance plan.
I will be running it in salt water.

I bought a boat with a 1989 force 125 outboard since I will be keeping it in salt water all the time. I thought I would be able to tilt the motor out of the water and flush it every time I use it, but with my boat, the motor does not come out of the water high enough to flush it.
