    Fixed WOT Problems

    Hey JB i just wanted to say thanks for your help. I wanted to update WOT RPM problems. since the spark and compressionn test I went down on the Spark plug gap from .040(spec in the manual) to .030 and i also cleaned and put fresh oil in the vro tank. I don't know what did it but i've got my RPM...

    I took the cover off the carbs and it had about 2 cups of gas in it . Is this normal? Motor is 1986 225 VRO

    Can't Get MAX RPM'S

    225 Johnson Surging WOT

    I have a 1986 Johnson 225 pushing a 22' Hyda Sports Offshore. At WOT the engine surges up and down between 5000 and 5500rpm. also was wondering what a good all around prop for this boat and what kind of max rpm i should be gtting out of this motor.
