In the process of getting depth gage for my boat. It's an 18 ft open bow fiberglass, inboard/outboard.
Not wanting to end up with junk I am looking for advice on whats the one to get. I prefer ones capable of "in-hull" mounting for the transducer.

Was reading that Genmar, the parent company of Larson (along with numerous other brand boats) has been in Chapeter 11 bankruptcy protection since early June 2009. Wonder what's going to become of that for the larson brand?
Currently running a 14x23 3 blade prop on a 4.3 190hp merc. Engine runs at 4600 rpm WOT and 48mph. Boat is a 2008 18ft model. Recomended RPM is 4400 to 4800rpm WOT. With 5 people onboard the boat will come on plane in about 3 seconds. Not exactly sure how long to plane with a skier or tubers...
