Hi,
I just got a new boat, it has the merc 4.3 engine. The dash temperature gauge is reading 180, is this normal? When I launched I started the boat with the out drive up but immediately lowered the drive. Any ideas?

I used rattle can paint (spray white enamel) on my 16' fiberglass boat. I found a good deal on Perfection (white) and Brightside (blue). For prep do I need to remove the old paint (if so how?) or is sanding and a prime coat O.K.?
