don't they make a gauge that is accurate ? i have twin I/O's with diesels . thought it was trimed out , stopped to look at what the I/Os were doing . there was a 3-5 degree difference between the 2 which isn't good for optimum performance .
had to buy new sensor and limit switch . i'm not hooking up the limit switch just need the trim position sensor to tell me what position my outdrives are in .
on the starboard (trim position sensor) ,there are a pair of wires ,one with a male connector and the other with a female connector . i want to hook the sensors for my 2 outdrives up to trim position gauges . i believe that one wire is a 12v feed and the other is the sensor going to the gauge ...
thanks for the help . theres no existing wiring and the diagram on the internet don't show the gauge wire they use . there aren't any plugs for a harness either . i'm using deutsch waterproof plugs from ebay to make up my wire harnesses they work really well so far .
does anyone know what the trim pump #SAE J1171 draws in amps , so i can properly size the wire that will feed it ? have no existing wiring for mine , and i'm making all new wire harnesses for the entire boat .

i have all apart . i should actually say gutted . i just got the gimbal housings mounted tore them totally apart down to bare metal then repainted then added a plywood bulkhead between engine compartment and battery area glassed it in place to give me more mounting room . its still not enough...
can the OEM fuel filter be eliminated , if i have a racor 500FGSS filter - separator ? my oem filters aren't secured and are floating . i see the racor separator has a 30 micron optional filter for the fuel . is it enough filtration to get rid of the OEM filters . not enough room to mount all 4...
with twin mercruiser alpha gen 2 outdrives . to set up the tie bar , is there any kind of toe in or toe out or is it dead straight . i'm thinking you get the center of the outdrive measurement equal equal in the front and back .
the garboard plug i have is like this perko unit and has no provisions on it for bonding . does someone make a bonding rings who makes them and where can i get one . ive spent hours on this computer , trying to locate them to no avail .
