    New Yamaha F70

    I'm looking at repowering a 96 Whaler 17 Montauk. Boat will be used for fishing and hauling 1 to 4 (max) people, no skiing, and am considering the Yami F70 4 strk. Any ideas on that as adequate power. Anyone have experience using that new motor on about a 1000 lb. boat yet?

    Is it okay to use Mobil-1 10W30 on the initial oil change and going forward? Also, Fram or other brand oil filter instead of Yamaha ?

    The fuel bulb tends to lose it's prime. It's pointed down, coming from an 18 gal on-floor tank.     Yamaha-90 4stroke ,new one coming?

    The current 90 hp 4 stroke ( heavy@ 369 lbs.) is no longer illustrated in the catalaog, although specs are posted. Does this mean they are developing a new one on the newer 70hp 4 stroke platform which should be noticeably slimmed down ? Anyone have any insight on this subject ?

    Yamaha-90 How do you adjust idle speed?

    2009 Yamaha 90 stroke. Can anyone tell me or better yet, send an illustration, of what to do to increase idle speen on this motor ? It's idling in Neutral around 500-600 rpm and is almost shutting off due to too low of a setting.
