    Help!! Mercruser won`t idle.

    1997 5.7 ltr v8 won`t idle. It runs perf above 1500 rpm. It has the 2brl carb and it ran well when i put her away last season with a full tank of fresh fuel and stablizer.     RPM`S wont drop when shifting.

    1997 mercruser 350ci alpha. From idle (650rpm)to gear I get no drop in rpm so she klunks when it`s geard. When I put it back to nutural she drops 300-400rpm then returns to 650 rpm.shouldnt it be the other way around???. Is this called an inturupt switch?Could it be wired backwards? Thanks, Fred

    rpm`s won`t drop when shifting

    This a 1997 mercruiser 350ci alpha. when i shift into gear she stays at idle rpm (650rpm) and klunks in. When I shift back to netural it drops 300 or 400 rpm then back to normal idle. Shouldn`t this be the other way around??? How do I fix this. Is this called shift interupter??? Thanks Fred
