I need to replace the two trim solenoids on my 1986 150XR2 Merc. Is there a trick to get them out? It's a tight area there. Any advice or a brief procedure is appreciated.
Anyone run a Tempest Plus with the PVS holes completely open? The reason I ask is because My 86 Procraft 1750V Fish & Ski is a dog out of the hole even with the size "L" PVS plug. When I had it on the water for the initial test run, I did not think to completely remove them and give it a try...

Tomorrow I am going to perform a compression test on an 86 Merc 150XR2 that I will hopefully buy. While I am at it, I will go back with fresh plugs. What brand and part number do you guys recommend?
Thanks:D
