Alpha I Gen II '94 with 5.7
Have water dripping from Shift Cable onto Valve Covers. Did search and found tons of info. Thank you all for that.

I have a '94 Maxum 20.5' Runabout with a Alpha 1 Gen II 1.84 Ratio. I purchased this boat after it was REPO'd. It had no engine but originally camewith a 4.3 LX. And the outdrive had a 21 pitch aluminum prop on it.
I have repowered the boat with a 5.7
I put my brothers extra 23P SS prop on it...
I am finishing up a 4.3 to 5.7 swap on a 94 Maxum with Alpha 1 Gen II.
The 5.7 engine is a '88 with same Thunderbolt IV ignition.
Everything seems to be working, engine starts, all gauges work, however when I turn the key (w/o starting) shouldn't I get a beep ... beep ... beep alarm after 7-14...
I am in the process of installing my '94 Alpha 1 Gen II drive back on my boat after swapping a 350 inplace of a 4.3. I have an alignment bar and have aligned the engine to the best of my ability using all of the excellent info here.
The problem is the drive slides on untill there is 1 1/2...
I just purchased a REPO'd 94 Maxum 2050 srb with no engine as a project boat for my 18y.o. and 16 y.o. sons ... for cheap .... $800. Everything else is in decent shape concidering.
Boat originally had a 4.3 LX w/Alpha One.
Maxum offered a 5.0 as an option on this boat and I spoke to them...
