    '89 Evinrude 48 spl Won't stay running.

    My '89 Evinrude 48spl starts, but won't stay running. As soon as it starts it dies. I've tried holding the key in to keep primer working, but nothing keeps it running. I'm wondering if the fuel pump would cause this. Any ideas? Thanks, George3405

    '89 48spl starts and dies

    My '89 48spl starts up when I start it, but dies in about 1 second. When it runs it runs strong. When I push the primer again it starts up for a second again. I've tried holding the primer in to keep it running, but that does not work. Any ideas? Thanks, George3405

    Loosening up a seized trim tilt on 48SPL 1989
