    Mercury 3000 classic throtle control

    I have a 186 triton bass boat the backing plate on the shifter is loose ,i need to get the handle off so i can get to the backing plate.How do i get the handle off.

    When i turn locater on it shows depth of .5 feet and dosent change any ideas.

    rough running when idleing

    1997 4 stroke when running low speed runs rough and dies,higher rpm it runs fine.I ran some carb cleaner through it didnt help.
