    i have a 1960-61 mer. 800 dir. rev. there are two switches that have to be pushed in to allow the engine to start. one of them is bad. can i just wire the ends together?

    i have a 1960-61 mercury 800 direct drive. the spark plug wires screw into the dis. how can you use auto plug wires<br /> :confused:

    flushing engine/dockbuster

    I have a 1961 dockbuster mercury 800 I only have a hose attachment that screws into a plug on the lower unit. is it safe to run the engine with that.
