I just bought an 82 glastron boat with an 82 johnson 140 v4. The boat was owned by the same man for 25 years. When he sold the boat to the next owner he told him he runs two pints per 6 gallons of gas. this is 25 to 1. Everyone i have talked to says this motor should be 50 to 1.(is that right)...
I really felt like an idiot and was extremely worried about doing damage to the boat. I pulled it a good 10 to 15 feet before my wife stopped me. she said it did not drag that hard but it did leave a white mark across the pavement./ What should i look for as far as damage done?
