Buddy of mine has a 2006 50hp 4 stroke Merc , is there anything special to do to winterising this motor ?

Seems i have a few left over quarts of synthetic oil with a couple of onces left in them is it alright to mix them with regular TCW3 outboard motor oil . I am mixing 24 to 1 for a 1963 Johnson 18hp .

Well i have it up and running after replacing Coils, Condensers, Points , plugs and wires. Next step will be water pump impeller and maybe a lower end seal kit. When i picked up this motor last fall with a broken prop and crank key i did not have much hope of getting it going but i did get it...
Well wile im waiting for decals for my 1955 15HP Evinrude i decided to take a look at a 1963 Johnson 18hp i bought off a guy last winter for 50 bucks :)
When i bought it he said he had it running on the river and it just quit and that he did not have the time to look at it .
