Did not use it for so many years and want to re-introduce it on my boat. Lost manual. Anybody with a manual of this oldtimer? Or somebody knows where the memory back-up Lithium battery is located, and how to replace it?
No ignition. Not even after replacement of powerpack. Leaves me with replacement of stator or coils. I presume stator is the most logical replacement.. or do I forget other possible reasons for no ignition?
Wiring from control to engine OK.<br />Out of the control however, 4 wires are of unknown use to me, as I have no manual.<br />Two (red+black) are measured 12volt leads; what is the use of the two others? Do they have to be connected and what purpose do they have?<br />Appreciate some info.
Just bought secondhand 8hp probably build 1995 as a back-up for my Force 50hp. <br />It is not possible to use the familiar 'headphone' to rinse the engine after use in saltwater.<br />I have no manual, and would like to learn how I can rinse this engine without having to put it in a bath..<br...
The engine tag is showing model 507E92C<br />In the rather complete list on www.dougrussell.com/partscatalog/components<br />I can only find modell 507E92A .<br />The CD unit looks definitely different then mine, so do not know what part to order?<br />Any experienced Force'ers'??

Starter is well turning the engine, but ignition fails to work. All wiring has been checked carefully, and even the components are apparently OK.
