    Stator installation

    Is there a trick to installing a replacement stator? My original looks like it was its covered in epoxy. The new one isn't. It is the OEM replacement, but I can't get it to work. All the resistance tests show that it is good. But it doesn't create any voltage. Do I need a spacer or...

    Stator Installation 60 H.P.

    Any trick to installing an unencapsulated stator? Bought a new one because of broken wires on original. Couldn't get it to make voltage, thought it was defective, marina tested it to another new one it gave the same readings. No installation instructions were in the box.

    Ok, here's my story. Last summer took my boat out it wouldn,t start no spark. Put it on the trailer and did the jiggle test (stator plug wires, timer plug wires, coil wires from power pack) got spark, motor ran and started great for the next 4 days. Last fall went to winterize it no spark no...
