hello i have a 140 merc.my tach some time rises to end and returns to normal.could be at 900rpm for a while then it rises to end but motor stay same,sometime tach stay at end for short while.check wires but nothing loose.also relies when start my engine voltlight comes on when choke wire is...
have v8 mercruser that on idle holds oil pressure but when i accelarate it drops and oil light comes on.have blow by out where you add oil on the valve cover.any diagnostics thnaks in advance
start motor and positive wire going to coil seam to be heating up.lately my engine shut off while running in water then when cool down it start up agian.does anyone know why please help thanks. i have a 140 merc and change the alternator to a single wire could that also be a problem thank again.
i have 140 merc points dist.while driving for while it seem coil shut down.time passes it might start up again. check current with test light it on.thanks
lost speed on water even on high rpm.found water in outdrive.replace new oil.now outdrive knocks when put in gear.also got a knock in flywheel area. please help
