I lost reverse and gear clicks on neutral and reverse. I switched from forward to reverse going about 10 mph. Do you think it can be related?
My engine is a 1969 evinrude 85 hp.
Any advice would be great.

My 1969 evinrude 85hp had gear case rebuilt last summer with shift solenoids and shaft replaced.
Suddenly I lost reverse and gear case click on reverse and neutral. Neutral work but clicks in lower part. Forward is fine.
Any help would be great.

I own a Larson 1961 with a 1969 evinrude 85hp.
I have a preheat switch on console which has one wire disconnected.
Is there any use for it and if so can someone help with wiring.
Would also hear from any Larson owners in that year range.
