    Parts lists with part numbers

    Go to the VP web site and use engine s/n to look up part by type. You an use the engine model but using the engine s/n gives the best updated info.

    Suggest your install new MAP and IAC. If you can find the GM OEM parts they will be a lot more reasonable $ . I have replaced the IAC on our 8.1 GSII-A with the GM part about 70% less $ than the VP

    Whistling Noise 2001 VP 8.1GSiI-A / 1300 Hours/ Service Bulletin?

    I have a pair of 2001 VP 8.1GSiI-A,V drives, approx. 1300 hours. Have a whistling noise from port engine that gets worse in gear from a little above idle up to about 3000/3500 RPM under load, then starts to diminish above that. Certainly sounds like a intake leak at or downstream of the throttle...
