I had my 87 Starcraft with an OMC 4.3 Cobra outdrive in the salt for seven days. It has always been a freshwater boat. Pulled it out and flushed it at the station in the harbor. When I started the engine and let the water run...
Picked this boat up in the early spring...Had the common Cobra shift cable problem. Finally got it on and fixed. The OMC 4.3 runs great! I did a full tune up, changed all the fluids, etc... As far as I know this boat has only been in freshwater.
