Number 3 cylinder shows 10-20 psi and others are 110-120 Guess I need to replace the rings in this motor. Any suggestions beforehand? Tried the seafoam in cylinder for 24 hrs a couple times, but same reading. The motor has set for 5 years that I know of but starts and runs decent on a hose. thanks

Just bought the boat, has been sitting a few years tilt worked a couple of tries now it is stuck in up position. It pressurizes the lines when I push the down switch but it refuses to move. Any ideas? Thanks

I need to replace a bad 1978 v6 black max block. I have found a 1987 150 block and I'm pretty sure the heads are different(diff. gaskets) just wanting to know if it might work otherwise.
What would cause number 5 piston to burn a section off top of piston? I have been having acceleration problems but the motor was cruising at 5500rpm and 52mph when it started knocking. I tore off the heads and found this. Any ideas? I can rebuild the powerhead but I don't want it to happen...
