Hi Guys,
I recently acquired a new-to-me Skeeter bass boat that has a 2008 Yamaha VMax Series 2 300 HP motor hanging on the back. The motor currently has 151 hours on it and I'm pretty sure the prior owner hasn't replaced any of the three fuel filters that I've read about. I think it would...
My '98 Evinrude 115 hasn't been running as good as it normally does. It has been very cold-natured (takes a while to get started), missing a bit when idling, and will often die when I switch it from high idle neutral to neutral. I figured this next weekend I will decarb it using the Seafoam...
I recently acquired a 1998 Evinrude 115 SPL with very little use. I noticed several times when trying to start it that it would just click. I would turn the key several times and then the engine would fire up.
I have checked my battery connections and it has a new battery. Didn't find anything...
I thought that it would be a good time to replace the bunks on my trailer and was looking at my options. The boat is a Tracker PT175 on a galvenized trailer. Initially I was going to go the untreated wood route with carpet, but I found these Ultimate Bunk Boards by browsing online...
I have the boat at the house and am going through a few things over the winter in preparation for fishing in Feb. I have rebuilt the carb and will rebuild the water pump assembly. Additionally, I have replaced the wheel bearings and installed buddy bearings and LED tail lights. So far everything...
I have seen a few messages where people were in the process of converting their 40hp to a 50hp by changing out the carb, but I couldn't find any follow up posts if it worked or not.
I have a 99 40 that I would like to bring up to a 50hp if this is all that needs to be done. Any suggestions or...
I have a 5x8 utility trailer that is about 3 years old that I bought from Northern Tool about 3 years ago that I use for hauling my atv. Yesterday I hooked on to it to head to the deer lease and stopped at a gas station ~1 mile from my house. Upon feeling each of the wheel bearings I found one...
Hey guys, I just wanted to give you a heads up on a brand new Tracker boating forum:
Sorry, no links or adverts to other boating sites allowed in the forums.
I noticed that the center cover of my steering wheel flew off when I trailered my boat home. The steering wheel works fine, but cosmetically I would prefer to have the center cover back on there. I have a 1999 Tracker PT175. If any of you guys haven any ideas/suggestions on finding a...
I just wanted to let you guys know of an additional Tracker boat owner forum:

These forums can be valuable sources of advice and assistance when/if problems arise. Enjoy!
I am winterizing my boat and I was curious what you guys think would be best for the batteries. I have an onboard charger w/ a built-in maintainer. I was thinking that I would just leave the charger plugged in to keep the batteries charged. Would it be better to remove the batteries or just...
Why does this forum go back and remove any prices that are posted in the posts? This can be very useful information. It wouldn't seem to be illegal if it is individuals posting what they paid for particular items at various merchants. Thanks for any replies.
I noticed that my motor is rated at 5250 rpms. However, when I am out running, the rpms on my tach will max out at ~5600 rpm at WOT. Is this a problem? I would hate to have to get a new prop, I currently have a stainless Ballistic prop that is in top notch shape.
Thanks.....
I installed a Doel-Fin ($20 at Academy) on my Tracker Pro Team 175 with a 40 HP motor this past week. I have to admit that I was a little hesitant after reading some of the posts on this forum. Here are the improvements that I found for my particular case:
1) The boat gets up on plane...
