This is the first time i have been able to access this site for some weeks. I kept getting a 'cannot find site' message.<br />Was the problem unique to me or did others experience it. I even emailed iboats and got a message undelivered reply.
My 8hp was running fine when put away a couple of weeks ago and now it starts fine on the choke and dies when the choke is put in after warm up. <br /><br />If I pull the choke out halfway it will keep running for a while and start to die, I then rapidly pull the choke in and out and it keeps...
My impeller doesnt seem to pump unless the motor is immersed in the tank so that the water level is up to or above the waterpump. I think that with the motor at the correct depth in the water (about 2" deeper than the cavitation plate)the pump wont prime.<br /><br />I have looked at my impeller...
I have a longshaft 2stroke 8hp Yamaha that has an illegible number plate on the bracket assembly.<br /><br />There is an aluminium plug in the side of the powerhead that has the number 322010 stamped into it. Is this any help in identifying the year ?
A guy I have been working with has a 1978 50hp Evinrude that runs slowly when put into gear and then suddenly revs up and takes off.<br /><br />any ideas?
