    Is 24% prop slip about normal for 115hp 17ft boat.

    I have a 2.59 ratio, 21 SS pitch prop and my boat runs at 6000 rpms wide open but only hits 35mph. That calcs out to 24% slippage. I do have a couple of nicks in the prop but they aren't really bad at all, would that be causing it to slip so much? Thanks,..

    Terrova ready light when stowed

    Do all new 4 stroke outboard requre valve adjustments?

    I was under the impression that the new 4 stroke outboards need valve inspections. I have a 2004 115 EFI Suzuki made johnson and I just purchased a Suzuki service manual and it says nothing of valve adjustments, just your basic Oil, spark plugs, fuel filter, impeller ect.. Does that sound right?

    Anyone know how to raise the idle Suzuki DF115

    It starts great runs great when not idling but when idling in gear it surges and dies often. Rpms are about 500 in gear which I think are too low. Usually when launch I put it in gear and give some power so it doesn't die but then i'm creating a wake in a no wake zone. Thanks..
