my alarm has been going in and out and finally stopped working yesterday...while this was going on something started draining my battery as well.....could the buzzer maybe be the reason....also is this easy to fix like just getting a new buzzer or could it be something else...

i have started my boat on muffs everyother day the past week to work out any kinks that may arrise.....everytime i start it up it starts on the second crank and starts with authority, stays at op temp and really havent had a single problem on...
dont tell me to read the manual please and that only merc oil is the only thing to use please......i am just wondering about other oils (valvoline racing)and among others.....what weight to use and is there any other brands and weights that you guys use in your mercs...also before a carb rebuild...
hey guys cant find in the manual.....do i have to pump the oil out or does the 96 have the tube on it that i can pull through the drain plug near the bilge....thanks

has don s or anyone posted a video on replacing the lower shift cable on an alpha gen 2? i have the manual but it would be helpfull if somene could post or direct me to some good info on replacing the cable....also do i have to replace the bellows to do this cuz mine are in good...
just wanted to make sure before i get my boat out after an impeller change....
i pumped the oil in the fill/drain until level with the vent hole (alpha 1 gen 2)
put the vent screw back on and the put the drain,fill screw in and torque it
removed the vent screw and then filled my resivior on...

i am replacing my impeller for the first time.....the gaskets were falling apart and the gasket between the impeller plate and lower unit was stuck to the lower unit...after scraping and gouging to get it off i got down to the base metal...i went ahead and scraped off all of the...
i have some up and down play in the bushings on the aft connection to my hydraulics on mhy alpha one gen 2....there is also alittle play port to starboard (i suppose port to starboard play is coming from the the hinge pins in the gimble housing) i suppose this is just from normal wear and tear...
i am in the process of putting my impeller assembly back together and on the bottom gasket the manual say to put quicksilver marine seal, then the gasket and then the plate, then the other gasket and then the empeller cover....is there something i can get a walmart to substitute?
