I have 1993 Yamaha 225 the tilt and trim works fine until it gets over 4500 rpms then it will not go up, let off the throttle a little take some of the torque off the motor and goes up like it should. The fluid level is fine there is no leaks any suggestions.

Have any of you used the premier and the avid and do you think the avid is worth the extra money. I have a premier spinning rod and love it, and considering buying another spinning and casting rod.
I own a 1993 Yamaha 225 with carbs what brand of 2 stroke oil do most of you run, I have been running Penzoil Semi Synthetic. With oil injection does it make a difference what you use and does all 2 stroke oils use the same amount to get 50:1 ratio?
My speedo is not working, after checking into it I am confident the pickup tube in the lower unit has come loose or is busted, Is the tube easy to service once the lower unit is removed.
