I have a 1999 Yamaha 70hp 2 stroke on a smaller RIB. One day I went to take it out and even before I started it, at the initial key turn, I had an alarm.
.... I read posts and have disconnected the oil alarm connection (square plastic connector) and replaced the thermostat sensor. ... no joy...
