Well here I am again. This old motor just doesn't want to run. This is what I have done so far.
Rebuilt carb.
checked and cleaned the fuel filter.
Replaced head gasket (water getting inside bottom cylinder)
Replaced thermostat
new plugs

after 10 years of this motor sitting I tried to get it running. The carb is gummed up. As I was trying to start this motor the cord came untied. How can I put this back on with the spring keeping tention? So far I can't get it to wind back. Thanks!
