I picked up the braided clear tube, barbed coupler, and hose clamps from the hardware store.
Unfortunately, I have not had a chance to install them and test the boat yet.

I have the same issue with a Penta 3.0 GS. Manifold vey hot, high pressure in the hose between the stat and the circulation pump, riser always warm to the touch.
