    To flush or not to...

    I use my Waverunner in fresh water only. Is it necessary to flush the engine after each use or at least periodically? All I have been doing is running it for a few seconds after it has been taken out of the water.

    Merc gas treatment AND seafoam

    I had mixed up a fresh 6 gal batch of gas and added a couple ounces of the Merc brand concentrated gas treatment and stabilizer. Since this motor hasnt been run in a few years I also added about a half can of seafoam to the gas as well. Will this hurt anything? Is it too much of a good thing?

    Getting rid of old gas

    I have about 5 gal of 4 year old 2 stroke mix sitting in the outboard tank.. There is no disposal site in my area and I need to get rid of it. Does anybody know if I could mix it with about twice as much fresh gas in my car and run it? or would that screw up the injectors or something else?

    I bought a boat recently and according to the seller the motor was a 1971 Merc 650 4cyl. I found out after the fact it was a 1966 model. Does anybody know if that motor charges the battery while running?

    Outboard motor cover

    Is there such a thing as a storage or travel cover that covers the entire outboard motor? The reason I want one is because the lake close to me has a lot of dirt roads and I want to keep dirt and contaminants out of it.<br />Thanks
