    been looking on e-bay for tach for my 1974, 2 cylinder 40hp evinrude, how do i figure what will work, what does pulse mean. thanks Phil

    motor mount knob 1974 40hp

    standing at back of motor on right side on motor mount close to turnbuckle is a small knob, it looks like it might be for keeping the motor from kicking up when in reverse whitch i am haveing trouble with, the knob is frozin in the out position and i didn't want to break it, but if it does lock...
