Posted about problems with my drive bleeding down and an economical solution on replacing the pump/motor. I used a complete pump from API marine for $250 (VB112N-2). This worked for me and just wanted to share. Saw a couple other posts from folks that had similar problems.
My trim pump is letting the drive bleed down. (1990 570A & DP-A1) I'm assuming the check valves are not sealing? The manual says its not servicable. Is this true? I hope there is someone who works on these things because I really don't want to pay $500 for a new pump. Any ideas or past...

My problem is the drive goes down under power. I take off at cruise speed set at -4. A minute or two goes by, I look down, its -5. Another two minutes, and its -6. You get the idea. I have to contantly watch it...
