    The install instructions called for an adapter kit for the quadrajet intake, specifically this one (https://www.tdotperformance.ca/edelbrock-2697-carburetor-adapters.html). I figure if it’s not needed, 30 day return policy. If it is needed, well, I’ll have it at least.

    So to close off the thread, finally searched the engine and carb and figured out this engine was factory shipped with a 4bbl. Edelbrock 1409 Marine with Merc Quadrajet intake adapter kit ordered and on the way. Thanks everyone, it’s been a learning experience
