I have a 1984 70 hp Evinrude without power trim and I found somebody selling a power trim that came off a 1985 120 hp Evinrude. Does anybody know if it will fit my motor and if I had to rebuild it, would it be worth it. He wants about $250.
I have a 1984 70hp Evinrude and was wondering if all TCW3 oils are the same. I've been using EVINRUDE/JOHNSON XD-30. Are the cheaper ones as good or should I keep using the good stuff.
I have a 1984 70hp Evinrude. Will an automotive tack work with this motor or do I have to get a marine one. I was at the marina and the prices started at $130. Just wanted to save some money. I live in Ontario Canada so the prices are a little higher.
I have 1990 15' bowrider fiberglass with a 1984 70hp Evinrude. I went to a site one time that would calculate what prop to use by asking what kind of boat,motor and weight of the boat and it would tell you what speed you should get. I can't remember the web site. Can anybody help.
I have a 1984 70hp Evinrude and I just started it up for the first time this year. I let it run for 2 or 3 mins to let it warm up and get rid of the fogging oil and then pulled the spark plugs and did a compression test. Top 141 Middle 145 Bottom 139. From what I've seen these are good numbers...
Can anybody give me some info on this motor "1984 70 hp Evinrude". I'd like to know the weight . I also heard that the hp ratings were changed in the mid 80's and I'd like to know if it's the old or new ratings. Is there any way to get a little more hp out of it. I'm using it on a 15' fiberglass...
