    should this happen

    Im a newbe and dont know crap but trying to learn.My boat is on trailer and today i started it and put it in gear and motor went dead.Is that a safty thing,does it have to be in water,or is something wrong.Thanks in advance this forum has been a great help

    Engine stops running

    I have a volvo 5.0 efi and when i turn key it starts and runs like a charm until you release the key and it goes back to the run pos then it kills power to the engine and it cuts off does just like when you pull the safty switch.Any ideas on what to check or what it could be THANKS

    I have a penta sx cobra when i raise it it leaks down what could be the trouble and also does it have some sort of lock or rod to hold it up when trailering.I just bought the boat and i dont have a clue

    I have a chris craft boat with a 5.0 EFI volvo penta (ford)Only 41 hours but been seting for a while.When i put in the battery i get nothing,no gages,no lights,motor dont turn nothing.My first thought was a master switch but if so where if not what should i try. Thanks
