I am looking at purchasing another classic boat it is a 1972 Starcraft open bow.The information i gather from the boat is that it was stored in a garage since new for 40 years unused. It was then purchased or given (don't know i'm guessing on this) to the current owner in 2012 and it is now...
I am wondering if I would encounter any issues by hooking up my gas tank that is located under the bow of the boat with this motor. It's a 16 foot boat so I guess around 14 ft of fuel line back to the outboard.
I mentioned this to someone local to me and they thought it would not be a good idea...
Is this prop cupped ?

I currently use a portable 6 gallon tank on my glasspar runabout.I want to start using the fixed 12 gallon tank that is in the bow.I have scoped the tank and fitted a new line back to the ob since it has not been used in years.The boat will be fueled up and topped off on the water as it is dry...
I have started to restore the gel coat on my Avalon and I am having a hard time getting into the channels that run down the bow with even pressure.I have tried just using a finger but the channels are pretty thin. Suggestions,tips,tricks are welcome
