    Evinrude 150 Motor swap

    I have a 1987 Evinrude 150 XP Crossflow and I am curious as to whether a 150 Looper powerhead will bolt on to the Crossflow lower unit. Alternatively, will a 150 Looper motor/drive assembly fit the wiring and controls for the Crossflow? How about later model fuel injected Evinrudes?

    150 XP running on four, mostly

    Looking for fresh ideas: I have a 1987 Evinrude 150 XP (STXCUR) Crossflow with top two cylinders (1 and 2?) misbehaving. When I try to rev the motor by actuating the carburetor linkage for the top carb only the motor will rev until about 1/4 throttle (top carb only -- other two carbs at idle)...

    Evinrude motor swap

    I have a 1987 Evinrude 150 GT (crossflow) on my Astroglas. If motor replacement becomes necessary will a later model 150 "looper" powerhead bolt on in place of the 150 "crossflow"?
