The motor is hard to turn, my cable is new. I raised the engine up, and greased the fitting in the mid section. But it didnt loosen at all. Any suggestions????
Does my 2000 100hp yamaha four stroke send it's hour's to the meter by computer? It's a 2001 hour meter and it's reading 39.8hrs Is that how much is on my engine or that hour gauge?

Hey i bought a 150 mariner. When i first purchased it I could tell the three left cylinders stayed very cool, like there was no spark. So I changed the power pack and it ran perfect, but now my brand new power pack went back to the same thing. What do you think would cause my power pack to stop...

before I dropped my lower unit it ran and started perfect. Now when I try to start it the fuel pump kicks on but it wont crank over. I've put the lower unit back on and it wont crank over still. I've moved the fwd. nuetral reverse knob to try and find nuetral but still nothing. Any ideas???:eek:

Hi, I am trying to drop my lower unit on my 1998 50hp. johnson. I've undone all bolts and the shift linkage. The lower unit wiggles side to side but will not drop any on the front side, a little on the back side by the prop. I can't figure it out...I have the linkage disconected for sure.
