I think rule #1 stay away from OMC.
1991/92 OMC Cobra 4.3L gimble housing is trashed,must be replaced. is the housing the same on a 4cyl and 8cyl as the 4.3 ?
if anyone knows what years will interchange that would help too.
I just bought a 1992 Seaswirl 180se with a 4.3L omc cobra, took it out last weekend no problems ,boat ran great. I left the ignition switch on drained the battery, recharged the battery, now the boat cranks but wont start. what could I have fried by leaving the switch on?
I have a 1977 75 hp johnson outboard that stopped cranking. the battery is good all conections are clean at the battery and at the engine, I have voltage at the solenoid and the electric choke works but still won't crank.
anyone have an idea whats wrong ?
