    Evinrude suposed 40hp year identification.

    Can any one identify, the year model of this Evinrude outboard? Is said to be a 40 hp. There are no tags any where, i have found no serial numbers. It is a single carb, two cylinder power head. Any help would be appreciated.

    81 260 5.7 mercruiser dipstick

    Any one know off hand the length of a 81 year modle 260 mercruiser 5.7? i put 6 quarts in, one in the filter and 5 in the pan and it does not register on dipstick. not sure if it is the original or not. dipstick goes through tbe block not the pan.
