I am considering buying a 15hp that is currently set up for remote steering, I need it switched to a tiller handle. what does this cost to do it right and any sugestion on where to get parts, or anything I should be aware of?
I put a new wood on the transom of my 14' aluminum boat. I have seen an aluminium plate that you can put on it so when you screw the motor down it does not dig into the wood. does any one know wher i can buy one of these?
I've got a '68 seahorse 9.5hp, how can I tell where to set the slow speed mixture dial? also can I use XD-50 or even XD-100 oil in the gas? I personally prefer not to smell a lot of burning oil, and this engine has a good amount of carbon build up that i'm going to sea foam it in a week or two...
I have read somewhere on the internet about Johnson 9.5 hp. being change to 15 hp. by changing the carb and something else. which year engines does this apply to and is it the 9.5 or the 9.9? Also what exactly are the modifications that need to be done? I have been reading for a couple of weeks...
